From its beginnings, the Institute became a national and international center of reference , pioneering the training of dermatologists and the comprehensive care of skin diseases.
With that same spirit of service and excellence, and seeking to expand his practice into the private sector, in 1989 Dr. Bogaert, together with his wife, Dr. Luisa González de Bogaert, founded the Dr. Huberto Bogaert Skin Clinic . This new institution was a pioneer in the country by integrating dermatological surgery services in the operating room and a clinical laboratory in the same space, offering comprehensive, modern, and innovative care for its time.

Thanks to the vision of its founders—both recognized as masters of Dominican dermatology —the clinic quickly established itself as one of the most respected institutions in the country. Following Dr. Bogaert's passing in 2001 , his legacy lives on in every step of our daily work. Dr. Luisa González de Bogaert has taken the clinic to new heights, representing it at more than 50 national and international congresses and receiving numerous awards for her outstanding medical and scientific career.
Today, more than 35 years later , we remain steadfast in our mission: to provide dermatological solutions based on science, innovation, and compassion . We are proud to be a national leader , recognized for the quality, personalized service, and professional excellence that define us.
